Hard Rock and Quail Eggs?

On the 31st of May we are playing a gig at Sonar near Luna Park with Sargent Sapphire, Hobson's Choice and Ambitious Fish.

I had a look at the website for the venue, and on this was a menu. And the menu was interesting.
Some of the dishes included:

Poached veal tongue, remoulade sauce, quail eggs & seasonal leaves
Charcuterie plate - duck liver pate, rabbit rillette, sliced prosciutto, pickles & crusty bread

???

Anyway, here are some directions as given per the Sonar site, whether you want to see the bands, or eat the food:

"Sonar is located along the harbour side of Luna Park at Milsons Point, just under the northern end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Entrance is via the boardwalk."

Did I see Dilinger Escape Plan and it ruled? Yes. (Maybe I should think of another format for titles...)

On Saturday night at the UNSW roundhouse I saw Dilinger Escape Plan. I hadn't really heard much of their stuff, but within the first 5 minutes of the gig, i'd had two band members land on my head due to their crowd surfing related incidents - from then on I knew this gig was going to be good.



They slammed through their set - I don't remember the names of any of the songs, but they all kicked arse. Most were heavy grindy/hardcorey songs with odd timed bits and crazy stuff thrown in, but there was one catchy pop song to mix things up a bit.



Despite jumping off 5m high PA systems, leaping into the crowd numerous times and other crazy stunts, they stayed ultra tight and chunky.



All in all, one of the best live gigs I have ever been to. And the icing on the cake? Close to the end of their set, someone went outside, got a garbage bin, and crowd surfed that. Nice.

Did we just headline the Annandale and kick arse? Yes.

Last Thursday we played at the Annandale Hotel and it completely ruled. The place was packed and all the bands were great! Here are some pictures of our adventures:
